HI! My name is Valentina Socci, I am a Los Angeles-based photographer with an Italian soul.
I specialize in creating beautiful lighting for product, beauty, interior, and portrait.
My journey began at just 7 years old, when my Dad gifted me a camera, a moment that sparked a lifelong passion for capturing the world through a lens.
At 18, I began my professional career in Milan, shooting with film cameras in a product photography studio while studying the emerging digital photography revolution in the Digital Studio of the famous photographer Marco Glaviano. This dual foundation in classic technique and modern innovation are what define my work today.
Over the years, I’ve collaborated with renowned luxury brands in Milan, such as Malo Cashmere, Alberta Ferretti, Rene Caovilla, North Sails, Borsalino, and many others.
My work has been featured in major publications including Elle Decor US, AD Digest, House Beautiful, Vanity Fair, W Magazine, Fox News, Los Angeles Mag, Bello Mag and others.
I moved to Los Angeles in 2013 with just one bag and countless dreams, after earning my green card thanks to my extraordinary work in photography.
ANIMA: A Visual Story About Silent Struggles, my personal project.
ANIMA tells the stories of invisible warriors — people who look strong on the outside, but fight daily battles within. The project features intimate portraits of Super Heroes who carry pain in silence, many of whom you’d never guess are struggling.
I’m especially passionate about reaching young people — teenagers and kids who think they’re the only ones hurting. Through this work, I want to show them that they are not alone. That asking for help is brave. That mental health is not a weakness or a taboo. It’s a human experience.
This May, during Mental Health Awareness Month, I’m asking for your support to bring ANIMA to life. Funds raised will help cover photography sessions, artists, makeup, locations, and an exhibition where these powerful images can be shared with the world.
Please consider supporting ANIMA. Together, we can raise awareness, start conversations, and help others feel seen — truly seen.
